Millennial freedom music since 2013
Since forming around 2000 years ago, Nemes (pronounced knee•miss) has made their mark on the Boston and larger New England music scene by playing everywhere from subway stations to highly-revered rock venues. Led by duel-frontmen Dave Anthony and Josh Knowles, the band showcases a true metamorphosis of sound, featuring warm, layered harmonies and one-of-a-kind violin shredding Vanyaland describes as “fiddle-action glory.” These components are delicately layered across captivating original songs to form what Under the Gun Review calls “some of the most engaging music we’ve heard,” garnering shout-outs from national and international acts such as Alt-J and Nirvana.
LANDS is a band comprised of 8 members, who had all met at Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts. The band performs a genre they like to call “Explosive Soul” because of it’s Jazz influence on Soul music. The band approaches music by understanding their relationship to it and to each other. By understanding the common expression, emotional dynamism, and bringing awareness to the music as a whole they can form a pocket that’s deep, while providing the exposure of artistic beauty, and contrast. LANDS is here for the people with the music they express, the love for the beauty of art people, and the bond that we all commonly share. This bond is spoken through their music. Our human relationship and inter-connection is forever present through music. So sit back, enjoy, and know that LANDS expresses you just as much as themselves.
