Tory Silver is a singer/songwriter from Massillon, Ohio, currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Inspired largely by bossa nova, folk, and rock music, Tory uses these influences to create a fresh sound with a distinct punch. Notably known for her interesting chord progressions and warm voice, Silver uses her music not only as an outlet lyrically, but as an opportunity to create something captivating on the guitar. Studying the guitar for the last decade, Tory’s music is crafted with detail in mind. Silver got her start performing on stage at her college campus in Elsah, IL. “Tory’s music is FRESH,” says Will Buchanan of The Bonbon Plot, “She combines an understated vocal approach and unpretentious, real-life lyrics with seriously unique harmonic language and song structure to create a refreshing sound. Whenever I hear her music I recognize her sound *instantly*.”-Will Buchanan of The Bonbon Plot

A Boston-based alternative rock band, Jakals’ visceral, soul-aching vocals and melodic, driving instrumentals create a tempestuous sound that rips open the confines of contemporary rock music. Jakals are unrestrained, exploring the internal turmoil that results from the harrowing experience of human existence. With dynamic songs as complex as the emotions and personal struggles they grapple with, Jakals have been praised for achieving “a perfect stride between the personal openness of singer/songwriters and the more fully realized trappings of a traditional rock ensemble” (Crossfader Magazine).
Jakals released their debut album in May 2017. On Keep Mother Sane, Jakals question what it means to be sane in a society that doesn’t seem to be sane itself. They lay bare a reality of hollow communication, strained interactions, profound loneliness, and an intense desire to be understood.
