‘TOUBAB KREWE RETURNS TO THE ROAD, ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR’
The dynamic instrumental quintet Toubab Krewe will return to the road this Fall, playing a string of dates on the East Coast and Deep South. The band will feature Drew Heller (guitar), Justin Perkins (kora/kamelngoni), Luke Quaranta (percussion), Terrence Houston (drums), and Justin Kimmel (bass). Since late 2014 the band has made only festival appearances and been recording the band’s third studio album.
In anticipation of their fourth album release early next year the Krewe will play 16 shows between mid-August and mid-November featuring two Utopia Fest pre-parties in Texas, a return to the Blue Nile in New Orleans where the Krewe made a rare club appearance during Jazzfest, a date at the Brooklyn Bowl, and returns to many of their favorite tour stops.
Playing nearly 2000 shows from 2005-2015 Toubab Krewe established itself as one of the most unique bands on the scene. The Krewe made regular appearances at Bonnaroo (3x), Jam Cruise (3x), High Sierra Music Festival (3x), Floyd Fest (3x), Wakarusa (2x), before taking an extended hiatus in 2015-16. The band is inspired and excited about it’s return to touring, and can’t wait to share the fruit of their recent studio efforts.
Skyfoot is a powerful jam-rock band from Boston, MA. Forming in early 2011, the band has played 200+ shows all across the United States. You’ll find them rocking New England regularly and on down the eastern seaboard in the Carolinas and Virginias. In summer 2014 the band spent 2 months touring the Northwest U.S. with shows in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
