War Twins

“For those apt to bop a little harder than the average indie show goer, War Twins serves as a sanctuary.”
(Metroland NY)

War Twins has become known for their dynamic live set full of passionate energy, rock n’ roll soul and deep electronics. A growing buzz has taken them from their hometowns on the east coast to a string of successful nationwide tours and their new home in Los Angeles.

The duo was founded by singer/songwriter Gaetana and drummer/producer James Grey.  Beginning in early 2013, the band built a bed in the back of a ’98 Plymouth Voyager, and promoted their first demo on a tour that took them to over eighty cities. Since, they’ve performed close to 500 shows across the country to date.

Most recently, War Twins has supported international acts such as Wolf Alice, Alien Ant Farm and Filter,
with additional performances at SXSW, Catskill Chill, Slingshot and other festivals.

Thanks to the help of their fast growing community, through crowd-funding, War Twins spent time in late November 2017 recording some of their newest music with grammy award winning producer, Sylvia Massy (Prince/ Johnny Cash/ Red Hot Chili Peppers), which will be released in early 2018.

The Stampede is a Boston based rock band formed in 2008. Starting as a two-piece garage band, they established a devoted following due to their high-energy live performances that boasted a louder and heavier sound than should theoretically be possible from two people alone. Adding a bass player in 2011 allowed their style to expand and shift from their garage/punk beginnings to a much broader sound, incorporating elements of blues, psychedelic, and dance rock. Their victory at the 2013 Rompetition pushed them even further, allowing them to enter the studio and record their first self-titled release capturing the power of their live shows on a record. More recently, increasing their arsenal with a keyboard player and auxiliary percussion has allowed The Stampede to continue to grow as a visceral live act that has kept fans interested in coming back time and time again for a proper rock n’ roll experience.

Carissa Johnson & The Cure-Alls

“Carissa Johnson takes more cues from Sleater Kinney than Evanescence, and her latest CD, For Now, is a straight-up rocker that recalls early aughts Boston bands Aloud and Damone.” – the Hippo (Boston)

“Puts me in mind of the Go-Gos at a summit meeting with the Sex Pistols.” – Francis Dimenno, Noise Magazine (Boston)

“Carissa Johnson’s mis-steps are more fun to listen to than many people’s successes, due in large part to her overwhelming enthusiasm in selling her songs”

“A whole lot of fun to watch and looking like she just stepped out of a Runaways album cover, Johnson brings a great 70’s punk feel.” J. Pappaconstantine, Maine Music News

“Solid arrangements with good hooks, honest delivery and a real hearken back to the beefy old school production style of the New York Dolls.” – M. Puskas
